Wayne Cooper is one of Australia’s most established names in the fashion industry. Despite being born in London’s East End, Wayne made his mark in the fashion realms on Australian shores.

Wayne began his career in law, before migrating to Australia in 1985 where he pursued his passion in fashion by studying at the East Sydney Technical College. Wayne studied pattern making and dress making. Fast forward to 1991 and Wayne was launching his first fashion label – Brave, a label reflective of the rock n roll youth and style.
In 1996, Wayne launched his signature high-end label ‘WAYNE COOPER’ (the capitals are not for effect), before replacing the Brave label in 2002 with ‘Wayne Cooper’ (lower-case intended). To this day, the ‘Wayne Cooper’ label is targeted to the youth market, with the signature collection aimed at the higher-end.
Wayne Cooper currently has eight flagship stores in Australia, and is stocked in department store Myer throughout the nation. Wayne attributes much of his success to his life-long best friend Jean Ferraud.
