The Australian fashion industry has a new name which is taking Australia and the rest of the world by storm – George Wu by George Wu. As a Brisbane designer trained between 2000 and 2004, George Wu boutique clothing represents a new era of Australian fashion. Like many successful fashion designers, George Wu got his start at the prestigious Mercedes Benz Start Up Program which enabled him to display his unique designs at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival for 2006 and 2007.

In his short (yet action packed) career, George Wu has already gained a reputation amongst leading boutique stores throughout the world including ‘The Corner Shop’ in Sydney, buyers from Barneys and Neiman Marcus, as well as stockists in New York and Los Angeles. Most recently, a George Wu creation was worn by America’s So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley.

The label George Wu is an infant in the fashion industry after only being established in 2005, however the label is already being stocked next to the likes of Sass and Bide, Easton Pearson, Willow, Wayne Cooper and Nicola Finetti. George Wu (who turned 32 years old in 2010) undoubtedly has a huge career ahead of himself.
