Having conquered just about every runway and magazine throughout the globe over the last 8 years, including a two year stint in New York, Ms Peck began her career as a contestant in 2003’s ‘Search for a Supermodel’.

Australian Fashion's most pleasant face, extremely outgoing demeanor and legs which go forever, she remains humble in her achievements despite conquering all regions of the modelling industry. Don’t be surprised at all if we start seeing copious amounts of our favourite ambassador not only on the runway, having now chosen to showcase her alluring personality in TV presenting.

Her unique blend of travel guru and motorbike enthusiast, Kate remains passionate about healthy living complimented by helping those less fortunate around the world.

DUBAI FASHION WEEK: DAY 1 Fashion Week

Finally we get this show on the road! Today is the Dubai Fashion week opening show which will include my debut on a white stallion, sand dunes, falcons, local drummer boys and a bucket load of modules!

Its been three days of hellish fittings - nightmare designers, clothes not fitting, creations to make you smile and weep. The mix of local and international high end, ready to wear and couture designers is fascinating.

All 15 of us Chic management Aussie girls have been split into two groups and mixed with the local girls. Much to my dismay I am in group B! Whom would ever want to be classified as B grade BAH!!! Apparently it is because we can’t have two peroxided girls in one group. I am not too fazed, I have some wonderful girls in my Group that will be able to tear shreads in that catwalk so Group A can shove it ;)

We start the morning bright and early with our final lot of fittings and are hurried over the World Trade centre where the Fashion week will be held. Straight into rehearsal. The place looks brilliant!! From this extremely stressful messy scene only 12 hours prior -

My god they have done a good job! The stage is set with a layer of sand and decently sized sand dunes which we have to awkwardly maneuver over and around in high heels.

I don’t know how those Kardashians go to the beach in heels, this is damn hard work.

Several days ago I stuck up my hand when the question was posed of ‘who can ride a horse’. I can’t really, that was a lie to get me out fittings, perhaps when I was 12 but that was quite a while ago lets be honest. In comes this giant stunning white stallion and I am instructed to ‘get on’ HA! Side saddle, who on earth has ever ridden side saddle in the last 50 years.. certainly not me.

But here goes! I get into my outfit and high heels and some how manage to swing my leg up and over without poking a stilhetto hole into the massive animal that easily squash me like an ant. The music goes to FULL BLAST and we begin rehearsal. Minutely mortified, I am hoping this horse doesn’t freak with all the lights and sound system but besides a few head throws it seems fairly chill!

So after we have all been thrown into hair and make-up and kitted up into one outfit per designer that will be showing this week, we finally have an Opening show that is going to rock Dubai!!!

Dubai Fashion Week Day 2

The shows begin today, yay! After stuffing ourselves stupid like you MUST at a 5 star breakfast buffet, my Group of marvelous modules toddled over to the venue in our Audi cars (Fashion week sponsor), I think we manage to be only an hour and a half late. Ha, great start!

SHOW 1 – ZORI COUTURE

Aww this little designer was quite possibly the cutest little pocket rocket to ever of exploded onto a Dubai runway! He rolls up in a full blue velvet suit with little heeled boots standing all of 3 feet nothing tall!

The inspiration behind the collection was the Nazar, an eye shaped amulet to protect against the Evil Eye. Imagine, an ENTIRE collection of Evil Eye. It was very blue. But also quite sweet. Our little designer had the Evil Eye painted onto the palm of his hand and at the end of the runway during the finale he shot out his painted palm for the media and gave them the stanchest blue steel look that I have even seen in my entire career, almost matching and one up-ing Ben Stiller. Then he strutted like a fierce Shetland pony off the stage. Zori couture means serious business. Rather entertaining!

Furry big foot Ugg boots are not something that comes immediately to my mind when hanging out in Dubai - land of heat and sand - but each to their own!

SHOW 2 – CARTAS – I’m not in this one THANK GOD. The designer did not like my hair… Which was fine by me! Check out these outfits and the backdrop… It was like Disney’s Beauty and the Beast were having a fashion show.

She was a nightmare for the girls to deal with, abusing and directing them in Russian, unable to understand why they would not obey her barking orders.. Perhaps because no one there could speak Russian! Apparently as the designer went on for the finale she whipped off her red silk satin knickers back stage before taking to the runway and never returned later to collect them! Revolting. And very odd.

Cigarette break – Yes these young lovelies Dubai model, Nicole Pollard and Charlotte Lohmann from Chic really needed it after that ripper of a show.

I then watched the EKTA SINGH show which was.. interesting..

They opened the show with an EXTREMELY enthusiastic violinist who was playing the blingy-ist violin known to man kind!

SHOW 3 – Eastern Pearson – Yay our lovely ladies, Lydia Pearson and Pamela Easton from Australia representing! I was honoured to be in this show, they always have such gorgeous garments with very unique style. It is just the beginning of a relationship between Eastern Pearson and the Middle East’s Fashion market who are rather excited to see how the collection is received, as am I!

Day one of shows is DONE!!

I’m SO excited to get back to the hotel, our first day of shows was a fairly good indication that the rest are going to be EPIC. We are scheduled to be at the venue for 14 hours a day. And I can tell you after a 14 hour day of dealing with lunatic designers, models that are a few sandwiches short of a picnic and stressed out production teams our 5 star Monarch Hotel bed just turned into a 10 star!!
